Three men have been jailed after an investigation into the rape, sexual assault and trafficking of a 14‑year‑old girl who had been reported missing.

Daryl German, 43, Jordan Donely Wint, 31, and Deon Smith, 45, were found guilty of numerous offences in January following a trial at Woolwich Crown Court.

The offences took place in June 2025, after German found the teenager walking alone in Catford and coerced her back to his flat in New Cross, south-east London, the Met Police said.

She was then subjected to further attacks by acquaintances of German. He was given a 15-year prison sentence with three years on extended licence.

After assaulting the girl, German invited Wint to his flat, the Met Police said.

The two men then realised she was a missing child but made no attempt to contact her family or the police, which the Met said showed "clear and sinister" intent.

German then sent explicit messages to a third man, Smith, referencing sexual contact with the girl.

She was then taken to Smith's address, where she was raped again, the Met said.

'Dangerous individuals'

German, of Melfield Gardens, Lewisham, was convicted of arranging travel for exploitation, three counts of rape, assault by penetration and two counts of making indecent images of a child.

Wint, of Winterstoke Road, Lewisham, was sentenced to six years for one count of rape and one count of assault by penetration.

Smith, of New Cross Road, Lewisham, was jailed for seven years for one count of rape.

All three were placed on the sex offenders register for life during their sentencing hearing on 10 April.

The Met's Det Con Best said: "I extend my thanks to the victim, whose exceptional resilience and determination has proved crucial to the successful prosecution of three dangerous individuals."
