M1 reopens after crash near Luton Airport

The M1 was shut southbound after a serious crash near Luton Airport.

A full closure was in place between junctions 10 and 11 after the crash was first reported by National Highways at about 07:45 BST.

The collision involved a car and motorbike, reports traffic information provider Inrix.

Police and ambulance services were at the scene and the road fully reopened by 09:30. However, drivers faced residual delays of 45 minutes.
