A girl riding a push bike has been seriously injured in a crash in Tamworth, involving a motorbike which did not stop, police have said.

Staffordshire Police were called to a footpath across a playing field near Cambrian, following reports that a black motorbike carrying a rider and passenger had crashed with a bicycle at about 16:10 BST on Monday.

The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, officers said.

The force said the motorbike rider and passenger, described as being aged 16 or 17 and wearing all black with balaclavas and no helmets, did not stop and rode off towards Stoneydelph.

Anyone with information or doorbell or dashcam footage of the motorbike is urged to contact police.
