Edinburgh airport evacuated over suspicious package
BBCEdinburgh Airport has been evacuated following reports of a potentially suspicious package.
Police say the measure is a precaution after the discovery was made about 18:50 on Friday.
An explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team is in attendance and a cordon is in place around the airport with roads closed.
Officers say inquiries are ongoing and are urging passengers to check ahead and contact their airline for updates.

Passengers faced disruption from the closure.
An Edinburgh Airport Facebook post said: "Due to reports of a potentially suspicious item, the airport has been evacuated while specialist teams investigate.
"Updates will be issued when available. Passengers should check with their airline for the latest information on their flight."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SRFS) said they were alerted at 20:44 to assist the operation.
Three appliances and three "specialist resources" were attending the scene late on Friday evening.
