Man arrested after police called to disturbance at protest

Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the Cranhill area of Glasgow on Tuesday

A man has been arrested during a disturbance following a protest in Glasgow.

Officers were called to Lamlash Crescent in the Cranhill area on Tuesday afternoon after reports of a large group gathering outside a block of flats.

Videos posted on social media showed police cutting off part of the street while the group shouted and chanted. At least one man was then led away from the flats and into a waiting police van.

A 32-year-old man was arrested. Police said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
