Jury fail to reach verdict in murder trial
Family / West Midlands PoliceA jury has failed to reach a verdict in the trial of a man accused of stabbing a man to death.
Stewart McInnes, 43, was charged with murdering Barry Davison, who died on 12 October after emergency teams were called to Uplands Road, Handsworth.
McInnes was remanded back into custody and will appear at Birmingham Crown Court for a retrial on 22 February 2027.
In a previous statement, Davison's daughter said: "My dad was kind, caring and genuinely had a heart of gold."
"He will be deeply missed and loved forever."
