Three boys arrested over Tesco bin fire

Three boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, police have said.

A fire was reported in the bins stores at the back of Tesco Express in Canalside, Redhill, at about 21:40 BST on 26 June.

Surrey Police said the flames caused extensive damage after spreading to several vehicles, and also affected the shop and nearby residential flats.

A spokesperson for the force said the suspects, aged 11, 13 and 14 have been released on conditional police bail while investigations continue.

They added no injuries were reported.

Surrey Police have asked witnesses with information to come forward.
