A woman has become the third person to die in a pony and trap crash, Kent Police say

A woman has become the third person to die in a crash between a pony and trap and a lorry, police say.

The woman died in hospital after being critically injured in the crash in East Peckham, near Tonbridge at about 18:25 BST on 1 April, Kent Police said.

It comes after a young girl also died in hospital following the crash, while a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson previously said a white tipper truck and the pony and trap collided on the southbound carriageway of Boyle Way between the junctions of Bandridges Road and Hale Street.

The pony involved in the crash also died at the scene.

Kent Police are continuing to appeal for wtinesses.
