Tractor driver dies in crash on Cavan road

A man in his 30s has died after a crash involving a tractor in County Cavan.

It happened on Ardkill Beg, Carrickaboy on Sunday at about 12:40 local time.

Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency services responded to the single vehicle crash and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has since been removed to Cavan Monaghan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination will take place.

Garda Forensic Collision investigators attended the scene and an examination took place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
