Woman, 62, dies in crash between car and lorry

A 62-year-old woman has died in a crash between a car and a lorry in East Lothian.

The woman was driving a Ford Fiesta that collided with a Mercedes lorry on the A199 near the Tynefield Junction, close to Dunbar, at14:35 on Wednesday.

Police Scotland said emergency crews attended but she died at the scene. The road was closed for seven hours for accident investigations.

Sgt Mike Thomson said inquiries into the circumstances were ongoing and asked anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact police.
