Police in Inverness have launched an investigation after receiving a report of a pod of dolphins being harassed off the coast of Fort George in the Moray Firth.

It was reported at about 13:30 on Monday 15 June.

Officers said they were keen to trace a small, power-driven vessel, which appeared to have a dark-coloured hull, a light-coloured cockpit and was possibly flying a Norwegian flag.

Anyone who may have witnessed anything, could identify the vessel in question or who has private CCTV footage overlooking the firth has been asked to get in touch.
