A teenage e-bike rider has suffered serious head injuries in a crash with a car.

The collision between a Sur-Ron bike and a Vauxhall Corsa happened on Longridge Road, Ribbleton, Preston, at the junction with Chatburn Road, at about 21:20 BST on Sunday, Lancashire Police said.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital, it added. The driver of the car and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

The force is appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.

Sgt Chris Hardacre said: "This collision has left a man in hospital in a very poorly condition.

"Work is ongoing to establish exactly how it occurred and I would ask any witnesses or anyone with footage which captured the collision or the minutes before it to contact the police as soon as you can."
