'Time has not healed the pain of Sarah's murder'
Groves familyThe parents of Sarah Groves, 24, have said time is not the "great healer it is supposed to be" following her murder 13 years ago.
Sarah, 24, from Guernsey was found dead on a houseboat she was staying on in Kashmir in April 2013.
Kate and Vic Groves said many people on the island and around the world remembered Sarah with "much love and affection".
Dutchman Richard de Wit was charged with her murder and a trial began in June 2013. But eight years later, in July 2021, the family said authorities deemed he was "unfit to stand trial".
In a statement, Sarah's parents said: "The deep love we have for Sarah endures as does the pervasive heartache that began the moment we lost her."
They said they missed her "more and more" as time went by.
The couple added: "In our experience, time is not the great healer that anecdotally it is supposed to be, quite the contrary.
"The light and love that was our darling Sarah shone too brightly to ever be forgotten."
