A 94-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving an electric motorbike in Fife.

The pedestrian was struck by the Surron dirt bike at about 14:15 on Monday on Locheven Road in Lochore.

A 17-year-old biker was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and later arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

The road was closed for an hour while officers carried out investigations.

Sgt Tom Aitken said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash and not yet spoken to police to contact us.

"We are also appealing to anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward."
