Fresh appeal after serious assault at busy junction

Police investigating a serious assault at a busy junction on a major road in Sutton-in-Ashfield have made a fresh appeal for information.

Nottinghamshire Police said a man, in his late 50s, was seriously injured at the Hamilton Road junction of the A617 Sherwood Way South at about 16:00 BST on 15 May.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and was released on bail while inquiries continue, the force said.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the altercation has been urged to come forward.
