Biker, 48, dies after crash with van in Fife
GoogleA 48-year-old biker has died after a crash involving a van in Fife.
Police were called to the A911 road, near the junction with the B9130 for Markinch, at about 13:00 on Friday.
Officers said the crash involved a white Mercedes Citan van and a BMW S1000 motorbike.
The 48-year-old man, who was riding the motorbike, died at the scene. There were no other reported injuries.
The road was closed to allow for investigation and reopened at about 20:30 on Friday.
Sgt Chris Anderson, of Police Scotland's road policing unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
"Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist is asked to get in touch."
