Death of man pulled from river 'not suspicious'
Getty ImagesThe death of a man whose body was recovered from a river in Northampton is not being treated as suspicious.
Northamptonshire Police was called to the Nene, off St James' Mill Road, at about 09:00 BST on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman said a post-mortem examination on Thursday at Leicester Royal Infirmary had found "no indication to suggest there are any suspicious circumstances".
"Our investigation will continue, however, to establish the circumstances which led to him coming to be in the water, and our thoughts remain with his loved ones at this time," she added.
