A fourth arrest has been made over a shooting in Tile Hill, Coventry, where two men were taken to hospital with bullet wounds.

A man, in his 20s, was arrested overnight following the incident on Robert Mounford Way on Wednesday evening.

West Midlands Police said one man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the chest.

A second man was shot in the leg, but is not thought to be in a critical condition, police added.

Three men, aged 25, 24 and 22, were arrested in connection with the shooting but have since been bailed with strict conditions, police said.

Extra patrols will be carried out in the area by officers to provide reassurance, added the force.

A spokesperson said: "We are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the area or who knows more about what happened to come forward and are reviewing footage from the scene as part of our enquiries."
