A man has denied murdering a 13-week-old baby in Kent.

Tyla Wharmby, 24, pleaded not guilty to murder and grievous bodily harm with intent at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday.

Police said the child was found injured at an address in Ramsgate on 15 July 2022 and died in hospital later that day.

Wharmby, of Margate, was charged in February and is being held on remand, with his trial scheduled to begin in October.
