Police investigate sexual assault of eight-year-old girl

Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl in Aberdeenshire.

Officers said inquiries were ongoing following a report of the incident in the Duff Street area of Macduff on Monday.

They said they were following a positive line of inquiry.
