Pedestrian dies after getting hit by bus on A14
National HighwaysA pedestrian has died after being hit by a bus on the A14 eastbound near Cambridge.
National Highways said the road was shut between junction 31, the Girton Interchange for the M11 and the A1307, and junction 33 at Milton, following a crash at about 13:40 BST.
It has since reopened.
Cambridgeshire Police, who were leading the response, confirmed a pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. Their next of kin has been informed.
The East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene while a full investigation was carried out over several hours.
National Highways said all vehicles involved in the incident have been recovered.
Traffic in the area is beginning to get back to normal.
