A pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a person on an electric scooter, who failed to stop, in Bradford city centre.

Police said the black scooter was believed to have travelled from the Alhambra Theatre across Centenary Square just before the collision.

The man was struck as he was on The Tyrls, which is in front of Bradford Magistrates' Court, at about 08:30 BST on 20 June before the rider carried on down Market Street.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries and discharged. Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
