College classes cancelled due to burst water main
BBCSeveral daytime classes at the Isle of Man's further and higher education centre have been cancelled due to a burst water main.
University College Isle of Man said all exams due to take place at its Homefield Road campus, in Douglas, on Wednesday were going ahead as planned but most other lessons had been suspended.
Manx Utilities confirmed its engineers had been dealing with a burst main in the nearby Governor's Hill estate, which had caused low pressure or loss of supply in the surrounding area for a time.
The college later confirmed its evening classes were scheduled to go ahead as planned after the water supply was restored.
The Homefield Road campus, William Kennish building and Thie Ushtey exam centre were all affected.
