Girl, 12, riding e-scooter injured in crash

A 12-year-old girl has been injured while riding an e-scooter which crashed with a car.

She sustained a head injury in the collision in Bootle, Sefton, and was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. Her condition is described as not life-threatening.

A black Vauxhall Corsa and a black Sisigad e-scooter crashed at the junction of Worcester Road and Earl Road at about 17:40 BST on Thursday, Merseyside Police said.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries, the force added.

Police have appealed for anyone with information or video footage of the crash to contact them.
