Plans to redevelop mental health facility
States of JerseyPlans have been submitted to redevelop "not fit for purpose" mental health facilities in Jersey.
An application submitted on behalf of Health Care Jersey has been put in for an overhaul of a government-owned building at La Motte Street.
It said there was an "urgent need for improved facilities" and it would create a new adult mental health day centre and community hub.
The application said it would provide a "significant public benefit improving healthcare infrastructure, safeguarding heritage and delivering a resilient, inclusive facility that addresses the island's long term mental health and community needs".
Members of the public can comment on the planning application until 28 April.
