Racing at the Isle of Man TT has been called off for the day due to poor weather conditions.

Organisers had originally postponed the road closures around the 37.7-mile (60km) Mountain Course until 12:00 BST due to heavy rain and low cloud.

However, with further showers forecast for throughout the day, the day's full racing schedule has been postponed.

The Fan Park at the TT Grandstand has also been temporarily closed due to the "deterioration of ground conditions".

Organisers said, following measures to improve the situation, the area would reopen at 15:00.

The Fan Park features food and drink outlets and big screens showing previous TT race coverage and special interviews with some of the top racers.

'Available opportunities'

The 2026 race programme has been hit by a series of difficulties, with just two of the planned five races originally planned so far having actually been run.

Saturday's opening Superstock race 1 was postponed due to low cloud on the Snaefell Mountain and wet roads.

While Sunday saw the six-lap Superbike race take place, Monday's race programme was also reduced to just the Supersport race 1, as plans for the Sportbike race 1 and Saturday's rescheduled race had to be abandoned due to rain.

Disruption to the solo race programme followed the suspension of all sidecar racing at this year's event on safety grounds following a crash during qualifying last Wednesday.

The clerk of the course was continuing to work closely with Ronaldsway Met Office to "identify all available opportunities for racing to take place during the event.

The 2026 Isle of Man TT schedule features two further race days on Friday and Saturday, with contingency road closures available on Thursday and Sunday.
