A second person arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man at a summer solstice event has been released without charge, police have said.

Derbyshire Police said Isaac Clare-Watts, 26, from Nottingham, was found dead in the area of the Nine Ladies Stone Circle on 22 June.

Szymon Babynko, 23, appeared at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday charged with his murder. He is also charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Hady Lane, Chesterfield on Thursday, the force said.

Officers confirmed on Wednesday a second suspect, a 41-year-old man who was arrested last week, had been released without charge.

Babynko, of Commonwealth Way, London - who police said was a Polish national - spoke to confirm his name and was not asked to enter any pleas before being remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at the same court on 25 September with two provisional trial dates of 23 November or 8 March set.

Judge Shaun Smith told Babynko - who appeared via video link - the provisional date of a March trial was "more likely".

Police have set up a major incident public portal, through which members of the public can send officers information.
