Machinery spark caused blaze, fire service says

A large agricultural building fire was accidentally started by a spark from farm machinery, the fire service said.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews left the scene of the fire in West Road, Pointon, near Bourne, on Wednesday after spending four days at the scene.

Crews received reports of the fire on 25 July, with people living nearby told to stay indoors.

At its peak, six crews and an aerial ladder platform had been used to tackle the blaze.
