Firefighters have been tackling a large field fire in North Lincolnshire.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was located off Barton Road near Burnham.

Smoke could be seen from the A15, A180 and across the Humber Estuary in Hull, the fire service said.

At 18:45 BST, the flames were out and firefighters were seen by the BBC spraying water on to the burnt out remains of a farming vehicle.

The fire service is yet to say how the fire started, but a photograph taken by the BBC appears to show a large farm vehicle, which has been burnt out.

Officers also reiterated a plea for people not to have fires, or barbecues, as fires were spreading faster than usual due to the prolonged dry spell.
