Missing woman died in road collision, inquest told
HandoutA woman whose body was found in a car in undergrowth after she had been missing for four weeks died as a result of a road traffic collision, according to a coroner.
Tracey Smith, 57, from Stokesley in North Yorkshire, disappeared on 24 July, an inquest at Northallerton Coroner's Court was told.
Her body was found in a black car down an embankment by the A172, at its junction with the A19 near Ingleby Arncliffe, on 18 August.
The coroner opened the inquest into her death on Tuesday and adjourned proceedings until a date yet to be fixed.
