A number of roads in Edinburgh are closed after a lorry crashed into a house.

Brand Drive in Portobello has been cordoned off by police following reports the HGV struck the property at about 14:25.

Emergency services remain in attendance and it is unclear if anyone has been injured.

Nearby roads Christian Grove and Christian Crescent are closed.

Images from the scene show several firefighters and police officers at the taped-off street.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Emergency services are in attendance at Brand Drive, Edinburgh following a crash involving a lorry and a house which happened around 2.25pm on Tuesday, 26 May, 2026.

"There are road closures in place at Christian Grove and Christian Crescent."
