Three men have been arrested over an altercation which took place immediately before the fatal city centre shooting of Shanice Brookes in Sheffield.

The 30-year-old mum died after being shot outside One Four One bar on West Street just before 02:45 BST on 25 May following the altercation on Eldon Street, which Shanice was not involved with.

Two 21-year-old men and a 31-year-old man, all from Rotherham, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been bailed pending further inquiries, said police.

Det Insp Matt Bolger, of South Yorkshire Police, said two people had been charged in connection with the fatal shooting but appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Shanice, who had one child, worked for a charity in the city and was studying for a university degree.

Paying tribute after her death, her family said she was "truly one of a kind and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love her".
