A man in his 70s has died following a two-car crash near an airport.

Police said the collision happened at Carnanton, close to the front of Cornwall Airport Newquay, at about 13.45 BST on Monday.

The driver of a Kia Picanto, a man from Wadebridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a female passenger in the Kia and the female driver of a Peugeot 208, were taken to hospital, and the force is appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.
