Residents reminded of election postal vote date

Thousands of councillors are up for election across the country on 7 May

Postal voters in Wolverhampton are being reminded they need to submit their applications by next week's deadline.

Elections are being held across the country on 7 May with more 5,000 councillors up for election across 136 councils in England.

In the West Midlands there are all-out elections in Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Sandwell, Solihull and Newcastle under Lyme. A third of seats are up for election in Wolverhampton, as well as Dudley, Tamworth, Cannock Chase and Redditch.

Resident must apply by 17:00 BST on 21 April to get a postal vote in the elections.
