Family pays tribute to 'loving' dad as son charged with murder

Tributes have been paid to a "loving father with a big heart" who was found dead inside a flat.

North Wales Police were called to Llys Watling, London Road, Holyhead, on Anglesey, at around 02:40 BST on Saturday, where the body of Michael Ward was discovered.

Martin Ward, 33, from Holyhead, appeared at Llandudno Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with murdering his 53-year-old father.

Martin Ward will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on Wednesday.

Michael Ward's family said: "Our father was a loving family man with a big heart.

"He will be greatly missed.

"We would ask for our privacy to be respected at this difficult time whilst we process our loss."
