A man has been charged after a 25-year-old woman was killed in a car crash, police say.

Natasha Poore, from Evercreech, Somerset, died following a collision on the A361 in Frome on 8 April 2024.

Jobey Jason Smith, of Chilcompton in Radstock, appeared before Bristol Magistrates Court on 9 October after being charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed limit for alcohol.

Avon and Somerset Police said the 53-year-old was released on unconditional bail and would appear at Bristol Crown Court on 11 November.

Poore died at the scene after a silver Mercedes C220 AMG collided with her Volkswagen Golf on the junction between the A361 and A362.

In a tribute, her family said she was a "loving sister, granddaughter and friend".
