A section of the A27 in West Sussex has been closed after a lorry overturned in the early hours.

The eastbound carriageway between Arundel and Worthing is shut after the lorry overturned near Angmering just after 03:30 BST.

The closure is causing delays, and a Sussex Police force spokesperson said drivers should "find alternative routes" and "avoid the area while we respond to this incident".

The closure is expected to be in place "for some time", say police, although the westbound carriageway remains open.

Emergency services are at the scene but no injuries have been reported.

Separate road closures for water main repairs at Long Furlong on the A280 and Titnore Lane are also causing delays.
