Man in his 80s dies after crashing into parked car

A driver in his 80s has died after he crashed into a parked car on a residential street.

Lancashire Police said his Citroen C1 hit another vehicle on Carrwood Drive in Kirkham at 14:00 BST on Saturday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene while his female passenger escaped injury.

Det Con Simon Grounds said: "Sadly a man has lost his life and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any footage to get in touch."
