Firefighters tackling large blaze in village
Firefighters are tackling a large fire in a Lincolnshire village.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said multiple crews were attending the blaze in Wigtoft, near Boston.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We ask residents to ensure doors and windows are closed to prevent smoke from entering their properties."
They also recommended people avoid the area.
Lincolnshire Police said a road closure was in place from Asperton Road to Fishmere End Road.
Darren Rush, who lives nearby, said he was on his balcony when he looked over and saw a "massive amount of black smoke and flames".
"It was quite big," he said.
"Luckily, the wind was blowing away, obviously across the fields. It's taking the fire away from the houses."
