Zendaya has become one of the show's breakout stars

TV drama Euphoria has been the launchpad for the careers of some of Hollywood's hottest stars - and they have reunited on the red carpet for the premiere of the show's third and possibly final season.

Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi are among the actors who have found superstardom since appearing in the first two seasons.

Now, four years after the last instalment, they have returned to their roles, and were on the red carpet for the launch of season three in Los Angeles on Tuesday, ahead of its release on Sunday.

They were joined by the show's creator Sam Levinson, who told Variety there are "no plans" for a fourth.

Zendaya, now 29, has starred in the blockbuster Dune and Spider-Man films, as well as indie hits Challengers and The Drama.

In Euphoria, she has returned to the role of Rue, who now finds herself in trouble with a drug dealer she owes money to.

When asked whether season three could be the end of the road for the show, Zendaya recently told Drew Barrymore's TV show: "I think so, yeah."

Sydney Sweeney plays Cassie, who is now an adult content creator in the new series.

Since the previous season, Sweeney has starred in films such as Anyone but You, The Housemaid and Christy.

Jacob Elordi, who plays Cassie's husband Nate, was nominated for an Oscar this year for playing the monster in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.

He also starred as Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell's divisive new version of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, and got a Golden Globe nomination for TV drama The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Levinson told the New York Times the show's future beyond season three is up in the air.

"If inspiration strikes and I have an idea, then I'll talk to HBO," he said. "If it makes sense, it makes sense.

"But it's such a long shoot and we put so much into it, from every department - costumes, production design, editorial, cinematography.

"We just want to get this season right. So if this is it, great. If there's more..."

Levinson also said he used the new season to honour actor Angus Cloud, who died at the age of 25 in 2023, and "keep him alive" through storytelling.

Schafer plays Jules, who will be seen in art school while also being a so-called sugar baby, going on dates with older men.
