Candidates standing for Middle
MANX SCENESSeven candidates have announced they will be standing in the general election for the Middle constituency.
Meeting the boundary of Douglas South at Vicarage Road, Middle includes the local authority areas of Braddan, Marown and Santon.
The constituency is also home to key aspects of the Manx healthcare system in the form of the main hospital, Noble's, and the island's only hospice.
Although the landmass that makes up the constituency is largely rural, there is also a significant industrial and business presence.
The Spring Valley trading estate and Isle of Man Business Park lie within Middle at its boundary edge with Douglas, as well as the Snugborough Trading estate in Union Mills.
It is also home to the Eastern Civic Amenity Site and the island's incinerator, known as the Energy from Waste plant.
There are 4,759 registered voters in the constituency – as of October 2025 – from a population of 6,487, as recorded by the electoral commission in 2023.
Stu Peters, who was elected in 2021, has decided not to seek re-election.
