A Worcestershire county councillor has been suspended by the Liberal Democrats over claims she made antisemitic comments on social media.

Councillor Sam Ammar, who represents Bromsgrove South and also the Charford ward on Bromsgrove District Council, told the BBC she was "respecting and trusting the process" while also taking legal advice.

A spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats confirmed the suspension was "pending an ongoing investigation".

Bromsgrove District Council said it did not wish to comment, while Worcestershire County Council has also been contacted for a response.
