A motorist was attacked by another driver after their vehicles hit one another.

Sussex Police said a 31-year-old man was left with a broken wrist and shoulder after his silver Vauxhall Meriva was struck by a black BMW between 11:00 and 11:20 BST on Tuesday.

According to the force the victim reported he was repeatedly undertaken by the male BMW driver on the A24 near Dial Post, Horsham, in West Sussex.

The BMW would then pull in front of his vehicle and brake each time, said police.

At the Buck Barn crossroads there was an altercation between the two drivers.

The Vauxhall driver, who said he was concerned about his baby in his car, went to speak with the other motorist on a grass verge, where he was allegedly hit by the BMW and assaulted.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
