Man dies after being hit by car on A-road

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on an A-road, police have said.

Officers were called to a collision involving a car and pedestrian who was pushing a bike on the A38 near Thurloxton, Somerset, at about 21:20 BST on Thursday.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said their officers performed first aid, but the man died at the scene.

Police have urged anyone with dashcam footage or other information to get in contact.
