Charge after 16-year-old boy injured at cemetery

An 18-year-old man has been charged after a teenage boy was injured in a suspected stabbing at a cemetery.

Wiltshire Police said the 16-year-old boy sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening after the incident at Royal Wootton Bassett Cemetery at about 21:00 BST on Friday.

Theodore Farrar, 18, of Queens Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, has since been charged with grievous bodily harm and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Appearing at Swindon Magistrates' Court earlier, he was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 30 October.
