Fourth person charged over Jewish ambulance fires

A fourth person has been charged after volunteer-led ambulances run by the Jewish community were set on fire in north London last month.

The vehicles, operated by Hatzola, were damaged in an arson attack in Golders Green in the early hours of 23 March.

Judex Atshatshi, 18, of Dagenham in east London, has been charged with arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.

He was arrested on 16 April after counter-terrorism officers carried out searches at two addresses in east London, the Metropolitan Police said. Atshatshi is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Another 18-year-old arrested on the same day on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life has been released on bail until July.

Three other people - Hamza Iqbal, 20, of Leyton, Rehan Khan, 19, of Leyton, and a 17-year-old boy from Walthamstow who cannot be named due to his age - have already been charged in connection with the attack.

They are due to appear at the Old Bailey on 24 April.
