A blaze at a recycling centre was believed to have been started accidentally, a fire service said.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a large amount of scrap metal alight in Knights End Road, near March, at 19:07 BST on Thursday.

Crews attended from March, Chatteris, Wisbech, Manea, Whittlesey, including a water carrier from Ramsey, and left the scene at about 05:30 the next day.

The fire service had previously warned people to avoid the area and encouraged nearby residents to close doors and windows due to the amount of smoke.
