People on the Isle of Man have been warned to expect large waves breaking over coastal roads and bringing debris ashore.

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping between 10:30 and 13:30 BST during the period around high tide.

Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade and the northern end of Douglas Promenade are likely to be most affected, with promenades in Ramsey and Laxey also said to be at risk.

The island was hit by strong winds overnight, with gusts of up to 32mph (51km/h) continuing on Friday morning.
