A taxi passenger who died when the car she was travelling in hit a tree has been named by police.

Delia Sheridan, 71, was killed when the grey Toyota Prius crashed on Thornton Road in Bradford on Saturday.

In a statement released through West Yorkshire Police, her family said she was a "much-loved sister and aunt" who had been "taken away too soon".

Police said the 72-year-old taxi driver, who was injured in the crash, had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
