Police investigate concert knife attack after man suffers facial injury

Police are investigating after a man suffered a facial injury in an alleged knife attack at a high-profile dance music concert in Custom House Square, Belfast.

The incident, which took place at a show headlined by popular DJ Bryan Kearney, resulted in a man in his 30s requiring hospital treatment for a large cut below his eye.

Police said the injured man was surrounded by a group of males, when a struggle ensued and he was attacked with what he believed to have been a knife.

The attacker is described as being in his 20s, around 5'7" tall, with fair hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit.

The incident happened on the evening of Sunday 30 August.

Police are appealing for information.
